Penny Doodle's Reaction to Hello Kitty News

I recently heard of the news regarding Hello Kitty; it's been said that Hello Kitty, despite being addressed by that title, is NOT a cat! She never was. She was supposed to be a little cartoon girl.

To quote Wreck-It Ralph: "Bull-roar!" I am not convinced that she is not a cat! And Penny Doodle here describes my thoughts on the subject!

BTW, I hate to say this, but Hello Kitty is REALLY HARD for me to draw! She may look simple, but I always need to look at a reference image in order to draw her! And after I drew her, I copied the sketch onto the other side and drew a supposed human girl version of her (who oddly enough looks more like Isabella from Phineas and Ferb). Maybe Hello Kitty was drawn in kitty style as a metaphor to little girls? Maybe she was intended to be drawn as a girl but awkwardly came out looking more animalistic than humanistic? I don't know, but I am not convinced that she is not a cat. I stand by the fact that she IS a cat!
